A photo album,
not a platform.
We want to provide a private, secure and peaceful environment for family members and the ones they love to connect and share memories.
It all started in 2025 when my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world. It was a joyous moment followed by all the ups, downs, smiles, tears and total messes that come with parenthood.
Our family members all wanted snapshots of every moment on different platforms, some we wanted to avoid completely for the sake of our daughter’s privacy. We could not find a simple way to securely share our memories with the peace of mind that our most precious photos were not going to be sold to the highest bidder or shared without our permission.
So we built Kindred Album as a place to put our newborn’s first year that felt like handing a photo album to our family, not posting to a platform.
That’s what Kindred Album is. You share photos and videos with the people you choose, and they see them the moment you post. Each person sets up their own private account from the invitation you send. Nothing public, no profile to fill in, nobody to follow. Just an email address, a password of their choosing, and the photos of the people they love.
Nobody else ever sees it. There’s no feed of strangers, no algorithm deciding what your mom sees first, and nothing about your family is for sale.
Here’s what I can promise you, plainly.
We don’t sell your data. We don’t show you or your family ads. There is no version of this product where your grandmother’s attention is the thing being sold.
What you put in your album is never used to train AI models, and we would have to tell you before that could ever change. You’d hear it from us first, in plain language, not find it in a policy update.
And if you ever want to leave, you can take everything with you and delete your account completely. It’s that simple. We’ll never guilt you for leaving.
A note on how this stays running
Kindred costs real money to host and keep secure, and we want to be transparent about that rather than pretend otherwise.
Over time we may offer optional extras for people who want more, but the people you invite never pay. And we’ll always tell you before anything changes.
This is a growing project built by parents who just wanted a better way to share their kid’s first steps with their grandparents. I’m glad you’re here.
